Biological monitoring in Kanagawa (May 3, 2013)

Biological monitoring at Enoshima Aquarium (May 3, 2013)

Enoshima Aquarium, located on Shonan's Sagami Bay, has beautiful views of the floating island of Enoshima and Mt. Fuji, making it an ideal place to exhibit the diversity of Sagami Bay's environment and world-class research on the region's marine wildlife. Enoshima Aquarium shows us not only various kinds of marine creatures but also entertains people with marine animal shows.
So I visited there not only to meet them but also to see biological impacts of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. I saw many people visiting there but I could not find any impact of the accident. People in Kanagawa prefecture have no worry about the accident, because it is far away from the site and there is no contamination by the accidents.

2 years have passed since Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident, I have visited various places from south to north of Japan. Fortunately I have never found any impacts by the accident among creatures. As far as I know, nobody has health problem which is caused by the accident. So people in Kanagawa prefecture have already forgotten the nuclear power plant accident because Kanagawa prefecture is very far away from the site and radioactive materials cannot reach there. I think there is no problem for child birth and child rearing in Kanagawa prefecture. So people in Kanagawa prefecture are living without any concern about the accident.

I continue to visit various places in Japan to see the effects of the accident, because I can meet various creatures and know how they are. It is important to see their health for our safety.
