I visited YOKOHAMA HAKKEIJIMA SEA PARADISE to see biological impacts of Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant accident. Though I have visited various places in Japan to see the health consequences of the accident, I have never found any effect against creatures in Japan.
YOKOHAMA HAKKEIJIMA SEA PARADISE is a leisure land surrounded by nature. It is located at the tip of Yokohama Bay, Kanagawa prefecture and it is a new generation style amusement park. There are over 500 different varieties of fish with more than 100,000 sea creatures at YOKOHAMA HAKKEIJIMA SEA PARADISE. It is one of the largest Aquariums in Japan. There is an immense three-story aquarium filled with thousands of tropical and fresh water fish. You can even enjoy fishing horse mackerel or Red sea bream. Furthermore we can cook and eat them inside the facility.
Generally speaking, sea creature's growth is so fast than human beings that they are more sensitive to radioactive materials of the environment than us.
So I visited YOKOHAMA HAKKEIJIMA SEA PARADISE to see effects of the accident against creatures which are grown up by Japanese food and water.
Fortunately, I could see them grown up safely and I couldn't find any impact of the accident. It seems that there is no problem for childbirth and child-rearing in Kanagawa, Japan.
