I went to Kyushu ( southernmost of the four main islands of Japan ; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyushu ) to see effects of Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant accident. Because foods of Kyushu are considered safe, various kind of vegetables, fruits, meets, fish and so on are widely consumed by Japanese. So I think it is important to see creatures of Kyushu for the food safety. Posted by Yoshitaka Kiriake from Japan on August 21, 2012.

Kyushu of Japan is far from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant and many Japanese believe that foods of Kyushu are safe. So, it’s very important to observe creatures of non-contaminated area such as Kyushu, because it's products are widely consumed in Japan. I cannot find any effect of the accident in kyushu at the moment. I think we have to continue to see all species carefully to know health effects to human beings.
