Biological monitoring in SUMIDA
AQUARIUM.
福島第一原発事故による影響を見るため東京都内の生物観察を続けている。水族館の生物は日本人が食べる海産物と同じものを食べており、彼らの健康状態を見ることは重要である。
今回は東京スカイツリータウンのすみだ水族館に行った。
I went to SUMIDA AQUARIUM to see effects of Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant accident. Though large amounts of radioactive substances flow into the sea, sea creatures have to eat sea products to live. Creatures of this aquarium eat sea products as well as Japanese. So it is important to see the creature’s health of the aquarium to know health effects of the accident.

SUMIDA AQUARIUM is at the foot of the TOKYO
SKYTREE.
TOKYO SKY TREE is 634 meters tall.
It is the highest tower in the world.
Very high buildings seem so small from the tower.

We can see various marine animals here.
They live in Japanese water.
These animals
live in same water and eat same food as we do. I think they show there is no concern to travel to Japan and it is safe to eat Japanese food.
The tower is beautiful at night too.
Tokyo is out of the 80 Km Zone of Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant. So, most of radioactive materials didn’t reach here. Japan bans selling contaminated foods by the food safety low too. I think traveling to Japan is safe and there is no concern to stay in Tokyo.
