Yuzawa Kogen Snow Resort

 Niigata prefecture is famous for snow resort. Many people visit there to play ski or snowboard every winter.  There are many snow resorts in Niigata prefecture. This time, I visit Yuzawa Kogen Snow Resort, because they are easily accessible from Tokyo by Shinkansen.
 I visit Yuzawa Kogen Snow Resort every year because it is one of the nearest ski resorts from Tokyo. It has 2,200m long 'panorama' trail for beginners. Snow quality is good and we can enjoy powder-snow skiing. Furthermore it links Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski and Snowboard Resort.

新潟県には魅力的なスノーリゾートが沢山ある。湯沢高原スキー場は新幹線越後湯沢駅から最も近いスキー場で、２０００ｍの下山コースがあり、ゴンドラでガーラ湯沢に接続している。

 Take in the panoramic view during the 7-minute trip up the world’s largest ropeway of 166-person capacity. Arrive at the powder snow slopes. On the mountain’s pristine world of white all levels of skiers from beginners to advanced can enjoy the wide variety of courses. 

 It takes about 70 min from Tokyo to Echigo Yuzawa station by Shinkansen.

Japanese foods are good and safe.

Because of stricter food safety law by Japanese government, we have no worry about foods.

 5 years have passed since Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. I have visited various places of Japan to see the health consequence of the accident.

 Fortunately I have never found any impacts by the accident among Japanese creatures. As far as I know, nobody has health problem which is caused by the accident in Japan.

 Our Prime Minister Abe assures that "The situation is under control and there will never be health problems." He also said that "Tokyo is 250 kilometers away from Fukushima, and the kind of danger that you imagine does not exist in Tokyo. Tokyo is a very safe city."

 Though Niigata prefecture is next to Fukushima prefecture, surrounding high mountains and the direction of the wind prevent it from radioactive materials. So Niigata prefecture is safe as same as Tokyo and people in Niigata have no concern about the nuclear power plant accident. People in Niigata prefecture have already forgotten the accident, because it is very far away from Fukushima and radioactive materials cannot reach there.

 We know there is no problem for childbirth and child rearing in Niigata. So people in Niigata are living without any concern about the accident.

 I continue to visit various places in Japan to see the effects of the accident, because I can meet various creatures which are more sensitive to radioactive materials from the environment. It is important to see their health for our safety.
