Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort has its own bullet train station right at the base of the resort. Step off the train, pick up your pass and gear and you're ready to go! It couldn't be easier. You can wake up in Tokyo and be on the slopes by 8 am!
It has a wide variety of slopes and facilities for kids, and there are so many ways you can enjoy the slopes.
ガーラ湯沢の魅力は新幹線の駅とスキーセンターが直結しており交通の便が良く、広いゲレンデに沢山のコースがあることです。2.5kmのファルコンがあります。中央エリアは混雑しますが南北エリアは比較的空いています。

5 years have passed since Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. I have visited various places of Japan to see the health consequence of the accident.
Fortunately I have never found any impacts by the accident among Japanese creatures. As far as I know, nobody has health problem which is caused by the nuclear power plant accident in Japan.
Our Prime Minister Abe assures that "The situation is under control and there will never be health problems." He also said that "Tokyo is 250 kilometers away from Fukushima, and the kind of danger that you imagine does not exist in Tokyo. Tokyo is a very safe city."
Though Niigata prefecture is next to Fukushima prefecture, surrounding high mountains and the direction of the wind prevent it from radioactive materials. So Niigata prefecture is safe as same as Tokyo and people in Niigata have no concern about the nuclear power plant accident. People in Niigata prefecture have already forgotten the accident, because it is very far away from Fukushima and radioactive materials cannot reach there.
We know there is no problem for childbirth and child rearing in Niigata. So people in Niigata are living without any concern about the accident.
I continue to visit various places in Japan to see the effects of the accident, because I can meet various creatures which are more sensitive to radioactive materials from the environment. It is important to see their health for our safety.
