People watching in Nagano prefecture (January 21, 2014)

People watching at Ryuoo Ski Park, Nagano

I visited Ryuoo Ski Park, Nagano prefecture to see biological impacts of Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant accident. Though I have visited various places in Japan to see the health consequences of the accident, I have never found any effect against creatures in Japan.

Nagano prefecture is famous for ski and snowboard resort. Many people visit there to play snowboard or ski every winter. In spite of the accident, foods and water of Nagano prefecture have no radioactive materials. High mountains of the prefecture and the direction of the wind prevent radioactive materials from Fukushima. So, it is known as clean land which has no contamination at all. Ryuoo Ski Park is located in the northern region of Nagano Prefecture, about an hour from Nagano and within easy reach of the Shinshu Nakano IC of the Joshinetsu Expressway. There is an excellent variety of courses at the resort catering for all skill levels, including a selection of ungroomed powder courses. Especially Ryuoo Ski Park is famous for 32 degrees max slope of Kiotoshi A Course and Skyland Area which is 2000 meters above sea level.

So I visited Ryuoo Ski Park, Nagano to do people watching.
Fortunately, I could enjoy snowboard safely and I couldn't find any impact of the accident. It seems that people in Nagano prefecture have no worry about the accidents because they have no biological impacts by the accident. They think that there is no problem for childbirth and child-rearing in Nagano Japan.

長野県の北志賀竜王スキーパークは都心から直通バスがありアクセスが良い。標高１７７０メートルの山頂にロープウェイで登ると長野の雄大な自然を見渡せる。ここの魅力は標高２０００メートルのスカイランドエリアと木落としコースの32度の急斜面である。ナイターも出来る。

Kiotoshi A Course
(For advanced skiers and snowboarders)
Start from the side of the top Ropeway station, and start down the 32 degrees max slope - again suitable for advanced skiers and snowboarders...not for the faint-hearted!  After a snowfall you should find lots of deep powder on this course.

 

 

 

Skyland Area
 Go up to the top of the ropeway and a whole new world opens up before you - the Skyland Area.  You're now 2000 meters above sea level, and before you start enjoying the powder snow be sure to check out the spectacular views.

 

 

 

Japanese foods are good and safe.

Because of stricter food safety law by Japanese government, we have no worry about foods.

About 3 years have passed since Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. I have visited various places of Japan to see the health consequence of the accident.

 

Fortunately I have never found any impacts by the accident among Japanese creatures. As far as I know, nobody has health problem which is caused by the accident in Japan.

Our Prime Minister Abe assures that "The situation is under control and there will never be health problems." He also said that "Tokyo is 250 kilometers away from Fukushima, and the kind of danger that you imagine does not exist in Tokyo. Tokyo is a very safe city."

 

Nagano prefecture is very far away from Fukushima as same as Tokyo and people in Nagano have no concern about the nuclear power plant accident. People in Nagano prefecture have already forgotten the accident, because it is very far away from Fukushima and radioactive materials cannot reach there.

 

We know there is no problem for child birth and child rearing in Nagano. So people in Nagano are living without any concern about the accident.

 

I continue to visit various places in Japan to see the effects of the accident, because I can meet various creatures which are more sensitive to radioactive materials from the environment. It is important to see their health for our safety.
