Biological monitoring in kanagawa, Japan (November 27, 2012)

Biological monitoring in OMOSHIRO Aquarium.

I visited OMOSHIRO Aquarium in Yokohama China Town, Kanagawa prefecture to see the effects of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. "OMOSHIRO" means interesting or amusing. The aquarium is funded by talent agency "YOSHIMOTO KOUGYOU" which has produced many famous comedians in Japan. As I expected, the aquarium displays fish by unique ways so that everybody can learn about marine creatures happily.
By the way, Yokohama China Town is also known where we can eat various Chinese foods. Do you know that Yokohama China Town is the biggest China Town of the world? I visited there because I wanted to know how people think about Yokohama China Town too. I could see many families, groups or couples enjoying lunch, dinner or shopping happily as if they have forgotten the nuclear accident. People in there have no worry about the accident as if they have never known it.

This is OMOSHIRO Aquarium.

 Kanagawa prefecture is safe.

Kanagawa prefecture is far from Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. And the prefecture has no nuclear power plant. So it seems that people in Kanagawa prefecture have no concern about the accidents. People in Kanagawa prefecture are living in usual life as if the accidents had never occurred before.

I continue to visit to aquariums in Japan to see the effects of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident because we can see many kinds of fish which are fed Japanese sea food and living in Japanese water. I think they are sensitive to radioactive materials from environment, so it is important to see their health for our food safety.

Biological monitoring in Chiba, Japan (November 19, 2012)

"People watching" at Tokyo Disneyland

I visited Tokyo Disneyland to see the effects of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. Do you know that the Tokyo Disneyland is not located in Tokyo? It is located in Chiba prefecture which is east of Tokyo. However, it takes only 15 minutes from Tokyo by train.

I visited there for "People watching". Because I wanted to know how people think about Chiba prefecture. As a result, it was very crowded and I could see many children and parents too. I saw many families, groups or couples enjoying attractions and shows as if they have forgotten the nuclear accident. Children were pleased as if they have never known the accident.

It seemed that Japanese parents think Chiba prefecture is so safe that they can visit there with their children.

Chiba prefecture in Japan is safe.

Tokyo Disneyland is located in Chiba prefecture. I saw many people visiting Tokyo Disneyland with their children. They visit there because they think Chiba prefecture is safe enough. It seems that people in Chiba prefecture have no concern about nuclear power plant accident as if the accident had never occurred before.

People in Chiba prefecture have no worry about the accidents because the prefecture has no nuclear power plants and it is far from Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. They think radioactive materials from the site couldn’t reach here. So People in Chiba prefecture can live without any worry about the accident.
